Monika Ostolka
Monika Szota, known as Ostolka, has been sewing for as long as she can remember—it’s a passion that over time grew into a Kraków-based brand and a small studio in Nowa Huta. It’s there that colorful accessories for dogs and cats (and their humans) are created, along with sweatshirts, T-shirts, and other textiles, all made with care for detail and the environment.
Monika’s studio is a place where every scrap of fabric matters. Alongside new materials, she happily uses reclaimed textiles—treasures found in second-hand shops, which she loves deeply (and, it seems, are loved back). She gives them a second life by combining them with new fabrics, creating pieces that are unique, durable, and full of character.
What’s more, her studio also serves as a temporary refuge for homeless cats—cared for and looked after until they find new homes.
Monika collaborates with the brand Patagonia, supporting the Worn Wear initiative, which encourages repairing and reusing clothing instead of throwing it away. Her work is a blend of craftsmanship, ecology, and heart—all in service of creating responsibly and beautifully.
During the Camp, you’ll meet her at Patagonia’s repair workshop, where she will also lead upcycling sessions. Using banners from past brand campaigns, you’ll sew your own bags and chalk bags under her guidance.
